The Minnesota Wild visit the Chicago Blackhawks to play Game 2 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series on Friday night at 9:30 p.m. ET.
The Wild, obviously hoping to even the series, would likely want to play a game similar to Game 1 of this series, as they shut down the Blackhawks in the first period of Game 1, allowing just six shots on goal. Minnesota led 1-0 after the first period, but Chicago tied the game early in the second period on a power-play goal.
Josh Harding played brilliantly. Harding came in as an emergency starter after scheduled started Nicklas Backstrom injured himself in warm-ups. Harding made 37 saves, giving up the eventual overtime winner on a rebound to Bryan Bickell.
Game 2 figures to be another good matchup, as the Wild will be desperate to tie the series before it shifts back to Minnesota for Games 3 and 4.
