A few too many times were given the ball away by the Oklahoma City Thunder, helping Game to be taken by the Memphis Grizzlies 2, 99-93, Tuesday evening at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Turnovers were an issue for the Thunder all night. The competition was over, If the one person who simply couldn't make a mistake, made one. Kevin Durant needed to be perfect for his staff to manage the Memphis Grizzlies. But as as his 36-point, 11-rebound, nine-assist evening remarkable was, he was not perfect. Durant dedicated five of Oklahoma City's 19 turnovers, nothing more pricey than when he tripped and coughed the ball up with 54 seconds left and his staff down four. Instead, another near-triple-double won out, as Mike Conley's 26 details, 10 rebounds and eight assists proved to be enough. He, unlike Durant, got a large amount of support from his teammates to press the line to a 1-1 tie. Marc Gasol place in 24 points and Zach Randolph chipped in 15, helping give a nice inside-outside game for the Grizzlies. Because of 15 points off 11 turnovers, and 6-of-8 shooting from Gasol through the first two quarters, Memphis was up 54-51 at the half. Both teams almost literally went shot-for-shot through the next quarter, till Fisher and Durant got back-to-back buckets with some amazing bad play. Durant submitted 13 factors in the fraction, providing OKC a 74-69 lead entering the final figure. Unfortuitously, Durant's just unpleasant aid was a number of Derek Fisher threes. Fisher made in a surprising 19 points on 4-of-5 firing from beyond the arc, but even that wasn't enough. Henry Conley's first three of the game, accompanied by a Tony Allen grab and rapid split, tied things up nearly soon after play began in the last quarter. Within the first 3 minutes of the last, Allen had acquired four points, two steals, one assist and a recovery. Scott Brooks was forced to play Nick Collison for a lot of the last quarter as a result of Kendrick Perkins and Serge Ibaka's foul trouble. The Grizzlies frontcourt attacked and capitalized, as you had envision. Durant was forced to be on a where all he could do was search for his or her own photo. With his teammates not able to maintain, the Thunder celebrity poured in seven straight, very nearly single-handedly allowing OKC to keep pace with Memphis. The Gasol-Conley coupling was working efficiently forever. The couple features a wonderful moving rapport, and it absolutely was on full display in a control that gave Conley an open three to place Memphis up two at the 2:00 mark. Conley peeled off a pick and netted a jumper from the timeout, driving the Grizzlies result in four with 1:04 left. From there, the Thunder threw in the towel two major turnovers and a huge Tayshaun Prince offensive recovery with 34 seconds left. Memphis counted 16 unpleasant panels on the night time. The Grizzlies keep the second-round series to be opened by Oklahoma City with a hard-earned split. Things won't get any easier for the Thunder when the series changes to Memphis on Saturday.
