True Madrid versus. Barcelona, 2013 El Clasico: Halftime score 1-1...

Real Madrid took an early on lead as a result of Karim Benzema but Lionel Messi struck right back for Barcelona and we are linked 1-1 at halftime. It's halftime at the Santiago BernabAu with Real Madrid and Barcelona tied 1-1 after an interesting and available 45 minutes of play. Real Madrid acquired right where they left off on Tuesday scoring an earlier target and perhaps not allowing Barcelona to get almost any momentum. Alvaro Morata's correctly located mix got through the Barcelona security and finished up close to the foot of Karim Benzema who'd blown past Javier Mascherano. The ball was easily tapped by benzema past Victor ValdAs and the already loud Santiago BernabAu was rocking much more. Barcelona answered in the 18th moment when Dani Alves found Lionel Messi coming past Madrid's large defensive line. The Argentine striker moved to the Madrid box, cut hard inside past Sergio Ramos and beat Diego Lopez with a low opportunity to even the match at 1-1. The overall game slowed up following the Barcelona goal with both sides finding a bit careless with the ball. Sergio Ramos nearly gifted Pedro an opportunity after stopping the ball from heading out for a corner but leaving it sitting in the his own penalty area for the Barca froward. Before Pedro could do such a thing though, Ramos recovered and got the ball off his foot with a well timed handle. Messi got a fantastic chance in the moment with an in depth array shot from the heart of the Madrid box. Luckily for Madrid the chance was right at Lopez and it was stopped by him without issue. Madrid nearly took the lead back the 39 moment when Luka Modric discovered Morata unmarked on the left side of the Barcelona area. Modric sent a laser pass that Morata headed powerfully to the side netting. The younger striker looked on in distress, knowing he'd just missed an excellent opportunity.
