Getty Photographs A MANCHESTER CITY childhood person is likely to be sentenced today for causing the death of a sister and by careless driving. Courtney Meppen-Walter, 18, was when driving of his Mercedes car speeding at around 56mph in a 30mph area when he ploughed into a Nissan Micra rising from the side road. The Nissan driver, Kulwant Singh, 32, from Salford, and his sister, front seat passenger Ravel Kaur, 37, from Cheetham Hill, were both killed. Ms Kaur's two sons, aged 16 and 17, both backseat people, were also wounded in the crash at around 10.15pm on September 1 this past year at the junction of Great Ducie Street and Sherborne Street in central Manchester. Meppen-Walter, of Middleton Road, Blackley, Manchester, mentioned two counts of causing death by reckless driving at the city's magistrates' court earlier this month. The case was adjourned to Manchester Crown Court for sentencing currently after JPs decided their powers of sentencing weren't enough to cope with the case. Meppen-Walter was presented with an interim driving ban. The Bury-born defender has been at the Premier League club since 2003 and has represented England at under-17 level. Ms Kaur's two teenage daughters are now actually building a good recovery.
